Complete Rule Guide
General Rules |1.1|: No pp-ing, gm-ing, or mini-modding. No spamming or double-posting. If you have been given permission to GM a character then please say so in an OOC post.
|1.2|: Post character descriptions in the applications board and wait until they have been accepted before roleplaying.
|1.3|: Have your user display name as your character's name, on both the site and the cBox. You can change your user display name by going to Profile, and Modify Profile.
|1.4|: This is a literate roleplaying site. If you have no experience in roleplaying then this is probably not the site for you unless you write in your spare time. Decent grammar, spelling, punctuation and post length are all essential. Typoes are often over-looked because no-one is perfect.
|1.5|: For the minority of you who haven't read the books there is a simple uniform at Wyverley College with badges depicting year and whether a student is a prefect or not.
|1.6|: Roleplaying is in third person and past tense.
|1.7|: Please remember that bells are rare and therefore there must be a limit on how many necromancers are on the site. We need people of other trades too!
Character Rules |2.1|: Only one character per account. If a situation such as identical or very close twins comes along where you will be posting as both of them in nearly every post then please PM me an I'll consider it. Otherwise- 1 character only for every account. It just makes things easier to understand people.
|2.2|: You must apply for a character in the Character Applications board. Once accepted they will be moved to the Character Descriptions board. You should also have your name colour changed to match your occupation. If this does not happen then please PM the staff member that accepted your character and they should be more than happy to correct it.
|2.3|: Characters can be in multiple boards at once. Don't think that you have to limit yourself. If you wish a certain thread to be before another and it could be confusing that it isn't then please mention so in the first post.
|2.4|: No pp-ing. No character will be absolutely perfect in every way. Everyone has their down-points and weaknesses. Perfect characters will not be accepted. Obviously the roayls/abhorsens will be slightly different in their Charter strength etc. but they will also have their strengths and weaknesses even if they are better than most.
|2.5|: For characters involved in the series, see the Old Kingdom Rules below.
|2.6|: No different species. Only humans or Dead.
|2.7|: There is no age limit or restriction on this site. However please remember that if you are an old crippled man you're not going to be going very far or surviving the Dead very long; choose an age appropriate.
|2.8|: Anyone not rped by a member are NPCs. Canons cannot be NPCs. A member of staff will control them until someone takes their position.
Board/Thread Rules |3.1|: Thread Tags: [Open] - Place this in your thread title if it's open to any member. This means that you must accept anyone who joins it without complaint. PM them if you have an idea for the thread and you can discuss. [Locked] - I or a staff member will place this tag in the thread once it has been locked. If we happen to forget to do so then the make can also do this by editing their first post. It would be a great help as even staff members are forgetful sometimes ;-) [NAME only] - Replace the "name" for the name of a character you wish to roleplay with. If you do not place the "only" in the tag then other members will be able to join.
